Experience

Amy joined the YWCA Fitness Team in November 2006. Since then, she has completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Kinesiology, at the University of Calgary. Besides working with the Fitness Team here at Fitness on 5th, Amy is a climbing instructor and a guide for youth camps hosted by the Outdoor Centre at the University.

Amy is a firm believer in active living and enjoys spending time outdoors.  Hiking, mountain biking and climbing are some of her favorite activities although she enjoys all sports. She has competed at a national level in fastball, volleyball, biathlon and broomball receiving a number of athletic awards throughout the years.

Physical fitness and good nutrition are important to Amy, as well as being open minded and having the ability to try new things. With her educational background, experience in a variety of athletic activities, history of travelling adventures, and her positive outlook topped with great enthusiasm, Amy brings vibrancy and youth to the YWCA with her willingness to help and a continual smile.
