VOLUNTEERING WITH THE YWCA OF CALGARY

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the YWCA of Calgary!

Volunteers are vital to the success of our organization and to our ability to achieve our goals. In 2011, approximately 800 volunteers contributed more than 7000 hours of volunteer support throughout the agency.

We strive to engage volunteers within our community through a diverse range of opportunities, from special events, fundraisers, and group opportunities to volunteering within one of our many program areas including housing, emergency shelter, education & employment, child support, parent link, health & wellness and more. We also offer opportunities for highly skilled volunteers to help with key projects throughout the organization. All volunteer opportunities are key in helping us Intervene, Empower and Lead where and when women need us most. Through this mission we strive to one day see all women thriving in a safe and equitable community.
