The Results

The YWCA of Calgary has helped hundreds of children and youth look at life in a new way.

 

2010 Snapshot

In 2010, the YWCA of Calgary:

* Provided support and mentorship to 43 youth through the Youth Advocate program

* Connected with 311 youth through Youth Advocate drop-in groups

* Served 410 children and 407 parents through the COMPASS program

* Empowered 60 parents and children at COMPASS Positive Choices groups

* Gave 838 children and 960 parents early childhood, parent education and family support services through the YWCA Parent Link Corridor

* Provided care to 50 children at the YWCA of Calgary Child Care Centre, located at our downtown site

* Provided care to 98 children at the Bright Lights Child Care Centre, in conjunction with Enmax

* Provided care to 77 infants and young children at the YWCA Child Care Centre at Bow Valley College

* Gave 174 children a fun summer camp experience
