Expert Panel: Women’s Unique Experiences with Homelessness

Please join us on Thursday, May 5 to explore and gain an appreciation for women’s unique experiences with homelessness.

Donna McElligott, CBC Radio host, will facilitate a panel discussion with Kim O’Brien, Executive Director of Horizon Housing Society; Katrina Milaney PhD, Assistant Professor  of Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies at the University of Calgary and Heather Morley, Director of Client Services at the YWCA of Calgary.

The panel will be discussing these questions: What are women’s unique experiences with homelessness? Who are these women, where do they stay, and are they safe? What can we do as a community, and what can each of us do? Join us to hear from these experts and engage in a conversation that will change many lives.

This panel discussion is a component of the YWCA’s signature fundraising event KEEP A ROOF OVER THEIR HEADS. In lieu of tickets, your support would be greatly appreciated to help us reach our fundraising goal of $25,000. Donations can be made online through this secure website OR at the panel discussion.
