TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM REDESIGN
The YWCA is pleased to announce that, effective December 14, 2012, it has chosen to begin a redesign of its training and employment preparation programs in order to better meet the needs of a greater number of vulnerable women. While we will be closing the doors of the Vermilion Energy / YWCA Skills Training Centre in Ogden on March 28, 2013, we are excited to be opening the doors of the new Vermilion Energy / YWCA Employment Resource Centre at our downtown location in the spring of 2013. The new centre will offer individualized client assessments, employment preparation skill development, essential skills and employment skills training, job search skills, on-the-job training, job placement and retention support as well as intensive individualized support.
We believe this important change will help lift more women and their families out of poverty and is consistent with the YWCA’s mission to intervene, empower, and lead when and where women need us most. Stay tuned for more details!
